Jaguar Land Rover is proud to announce both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands have received 2019 ALG Residual Value Awards in the U.S

  • All-electric Jaguar I-PACE performance SUV receives 2019 ALG Residual Value Award in electric vehicle segment

(MAHWAH, NJ) – November 27, 2018 – Jaguar Land Rover is proud to announce both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands have received 2019 ALG Residual Value Awards in the U.S., including “Best Premium Brand” for Land Rover and highest residual value in the electric vehicle segment for the Jaguar I-PACE. ALG is the industry benchmark for residual values and depreciation data.

In addition to the esteemed “Best Premium Brand” award, four vehicles in the 2019 Land Rover lineup were also recognized as category leaders. The Land Rover Discovery Sport was awarded “Best Premium Compact Utility,” the Land Rover Discovery won “Best Premium Mid-Size Utility 3rd Row Seating,” the Range Rover won the “Premium Full-Size Utility” category, and for the twelfth year in a row, the Range Rover Sport was named “Best Premium Mid-Size Utility 2nd Row Seating.”

The annual ALG Residual Value Awards recognize automakers' outstanding achievements for vehicles that are predicted to retain the highest percentage of their original price after a conventional three-year period. Awards are given in 26 vehicle categories and also for the two brands with the highest overall predicted residual values among all mainstream and all premium vehicles. This year’s awards are based on 2019 model year vehicles.

Receiving the award for “Best Electric,” the Jaguar I-PACE joins the ‘PACE’ family of Jaguar SUVs and is the first battery electric vehicle to be offered by the Jaguar brand. The mid-size performance SUV has a bold, cab-forward design that combines a supercar silhouette and sports car driving characteristics, with the flexibility of an EPA estimated electric range of 234 miles1 and five-seat SUV versatility.

Retaining the title for “Best Premium Mid-Size Utility 2nd Row Seating” for the twelfth consecutive year, the Range Rover Sport is a luxury performance SUV with dynamic on-road character as well as all-terrain capability embodying the Land Rover brand’s drive to go above and beyond. For 2019, a new Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) derivative is available within the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover lineup, giving customers even more choice two available supercharged gasoline options with four output ratings, a powerful turbocharged diesel engine, and for the first time ever, an advanced PHEV. The Range Rover represents the pinnacle of luxury travel, making every journey a treasured experience.

Combining British desirability with an unstoppable spirit of adventure, the Land Rover Discovery is an authentic, full-size, seven-seat SUV2 that brings new levels of capability and versatility to the brand family. The Discovery Sport is a premium versatile compact SUV demonstrates the breadth of Land Rover ability, offering customers all-terrain capability, a premium interior and seating for up to seven people2.

ALG award winners are determined through careful study of the competition in each segment, historical vehicle performance and industry trends. Vehicle quality, production levels relative to demand and pricing and marketing strategies represent key factors that impact ALG’s residual value forecasts.
