- Jaguar Land Rover Canada sets new May record with 1,036 units sold – 29 per cent increase year‑over‑year

“May was another strong month for both Jaguar and Land Rover in Canada and gave us our fifth consecutive record breaking month for the year,” said Santino Pirillo, Vice‑President of Sales, Jaguar Land Rover Canada, ULC. “The new full‑size Land Rover Discovery has arrived and we are very excited about the positive impact it is bound to have on sales. We fully expect our retailer partners to have success with the new Discovery and to be announcing a sixth straight record next month.”

Land Rover
This was the second best May ever for Land Rover. Retail sales totalled 658 units for the month. Sales leaders for the month were the Range Rover Sport with 241 units sold and the Discovery Sport with 121 units sold. Range Rover was up 21 per cent year‑over‑year indicative of the strong year thus far for the full size SUV.
In 2017 the Land Rover line‑up features six models: The all‑new Discovery full size SUV, the Discovery Sport luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover Evoque luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover luxury SUV and Range Rover Sport luxury SUV and the all‑new Range Rover Velar luxury SUV coming to retailers this fall.
Jaguar
For the month of May, Jaguar reports 378 units sold and an increase year over year of 166 per cent. F‑PACE sold 228 units in Canada continuing to be the top‑selling model in the Jaguar lineup. This month broke the previous record for May Jaguar sales of 321 set in 2002.
The 2017 model year Jaguar line‑up features five models: The Jaguar F‑PACE compact luxury SUV, the Jaguar XE compact luxury sedan, the Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, the Jaguar XF sports sedan, and the high performance Jaguar F‑TYPE which is available as both a coupe and a convertible.
