(MISSISSAUGA, ON) ‑ May 1, 2015 ‑ Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported April 2015 sales totaled 550 units, for an eight percent year‑over‑year increase and the best April ever.
"Jaguar Land Rover Canada set a new record for April sales with particularly strong demand for Jaguar XF, Range Rover and Land Rover LR4 models," said Lindsay Duffield, President, Jaguar Land Rover Canada. "With the launch of our all new Land Rover Discovery Sport this month in addition to the new Range Rover Sport SVR and availability of Jaguar's Instinctive All Wheel Drive in the F‑TYPE Coupe and Convertible, we are entering the Spring with lots of optimism."

This month was the best April ever for Land Rover sales for a total of 458 units and an eight percent increase compared with the same period last year. Sales leaders for the month were the Land Rover LR4 with an increase of 181 percent increase over last year, followed by the Range Rover with a 138 percent increase over April 2014.
Land Rover's line‑up features five models: The 240‑hp turbocharged 2.0 litre LR2, Range Rover Evoque; the LR4 powered by a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 engine; the Range Rover Sport with the newly available SVR version featuring a 550hp 5.0‑litre supercharged V8 engine and Range Rover, available with either a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, 510‑hp or 550 hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 powertrains. The brand adds the 2015 MY Land Rover Discovery Sport to retailer showrooms in May.

For the month of April, Jaguar sales increased three percent to 90 units, compared with April 2014. The 30 Jaguar F‑TYPE sales represented a 15 percent increase year over year, and 38 Jaguar XF sales resulted in a 12 percent increase compared with April 2014.
The Jaguar line‑up features four models: The Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, powered by a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 in all‑wheel‑drive, a 470‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 or a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the XJR model. The Jaguar XF sports sedan powered by a 240‑hp turbocharged four cylinder engine, a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 in all‑wheel‑drive, a 510‑hp Supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the XFR, and a 550‑hp Supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the XFR‑S.
The XKR coupe and convertible are powered by a 510‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 and also offered is the Jaguar XKR‑S coupe and convertible with a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8. The F‑TYPE Coupe is powered by a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, a 380‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, or a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the F‑TYPE R Coupe. The F‑TYPE convertible is available with three engine variants; a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, a 380‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 in the F‑TYPE S convertible, and new for the 16MY convertible model, a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the F‑TYPE V8 S. With the 16 MY Jaguar F‑TYPE, Instinctive All Wheel Drive and manual transmission options are also available.
In April, Jaguar Land Rover introduced the second generation, new‑from‑the‑ground‑up, 16 MY Jaguar XF sedan. Based on Jaguar's new aluminum‑intensive architecture, the new XF will arrive in Canada in December, 2015. Also in April, Land Rover globally debuted its most luxurious and exclusive SUV ever, the 2016 Range Rover SVAutobiography created by JLR's new Special Vehicle Operations unit. No more than 30 units will be available in Canada. This new model will offer custom interior and exterior appointments and for the first time in the Range Rover, a 550hp version of the company's supercharged V8 powertrain.
In 2016, the Jaguar lineup will expand with the addition of the Jaguar XE compact sports sedan and the F‑Pace Performance Crossover.
