- Jaguar F‑TYPE up 26 percent year‑over‑year

(MISSISSAUGA, ON) ‑ April 7, 2015 ‑ Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported March 2015 sales totaled 920 units, down two percent year over year.
"March results were very strong considering weather challenges over the past few months that left our retailers short of inventory", said Lindsay Duffield, President of Jaguar Land Rover Canada. "We were able to deliver a record Range Rover Evoque month and a strong Jaguar F‑Type result. With the imminent launch of our brand new Land Rover Discovery Sport SUV, the 550 HP Range Rover Sport SVR and the 2016 Jaguar F‑TYPE with available all‑wheel drive and manual transmission we will enter the Spring market in high gear."

Land Rover
March was the second best month ever for Land Rover sales with sales were down only one percent to 726 units. Range Rover Evoque was the sales leader with an increase of 82 percent increase over last year and an all‑time record month.
For the full year 2014, Land Rover brand Canada sales reached a new all‑time high of 6,193 units. Full year sales were led by Range Rover with 817 sales up 23 percent; Range Rover Sport with 2,425 sales up 14 percent and Range Rover Evoque with 1,973 sales up 11 percent.
Land Rover's line‑up features five models: The 240‑hp turbocharged 2.0 litre LR2, Range Rover Evoque; the LR4 powered by a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 engine; the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover, available with either a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, 510‑hp or 550 hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 powertrains. The brand adds the 2015 MY Land Rover Discovery Sport to dealer showrooms in May.

For the month of March, Jaguar sales decreased seven percent to 194 units, compared with 209 units in March 2014. The 59 Jaguar F‑TYPE sales represented a 26 percent increase year over year.
In 2015, the 16 MY Jaguar F‑TYPE will be available with all‑wheel drive and a manual transmission.
The Jaguar line‑up features four models: The Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, powered by a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 in all‑wheel‑drive, a 470‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 or a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the XJR model. The Jaguar XF sports sedan powered by a 240‑hp turbocharged four cylinder engine, a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 in all‑wheel‑drive, a 510‑hp Supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the XFR, and a 550‑hp Supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the XFR‑S. The XKR coupe and convertible are powered by a 510‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 and also offered is the Jaguar XKR‑S coupe and convertible with a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8. The F‑TYPE Coupe is powered by a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, a 380‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, or a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the F‑TYPE R Coupe. The F‑TYPE convertible is available with three engine variants; a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, a 380‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 in the F‑TYPE S convertible, and new for the 16MY convertible model, a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the F‑TYPE V8 S.
At the 2015 New York International Auto Show, Jaguar Land Rover introduced the second generation, new‑from‑the‑ground‑up, 16 MY Jaguar XF sedan. Based on Jaguar's new aluminum‑intensive architecture, the new XF will arrive in Canada December, 2015. Land Rover globally debuted its most luxurious and exclusive SUV ever, the 2016 Range Rover SVAutobiography created by JLR's new Special Vehicle Operations unit. The new model will offer custom interior and exterior appointments and for the first time, a 550hp version of the company's supercharged V8 powertrain.
In 2016, the Jaguar lineup will expand with the addition of the Jaguar XE compact sports sedan and the F‑Pace Performance Crossover.
