“With the help of JLR, my team who took part in the JLR Challenge managed to raise over £4,000 for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, the charity provides support for bereaved military children who have experienced the death of a parent who served in the Armed Forces.
Nikki Scott is the founder. She set up the charity after her husband, Lee, died whilst on operations in Afghanistan and whilst I never served with Lee, the charity means a lot to me, it has been there to support the families of friends that I have served with, and I have seen first‑hand how it helps grieving families find peace after such tragic losses.

Colleagues from across JLR took part, from members of its Board of Directors to those working in Creative, Electrification and Manufacturing.
Social impact is a core part of JLR’s purpose and the annual fundraiser forms part of its wider Engage for Good programme, which aims to take care of the communities and environments in which it operates in. The luxury car manufacturer has made it their mission to support causes across the globe that reduce inequalities, develop youth, support the vulnerable, and nature and biodiversity.
The business has also recently supported the Amos Bursary Charity with over £60,000 in donations and 400 volunteering hours to support educational and career progression of Black African and Caribbean students in the UK.
The charitable efforts of the business extend beyond the UK. This year marks the 10‑year anniversary of JLR China and the Soong Ching Ling Foundation establishing the Dream Fund Partnership. In 2014, JLR China donated over £550,000 to support rebuilding a school in Zhaotong which was devastated by an earthquake and the company has continued to resource the school in the decade since, to allow children to continue their education. The Dream Fund has benefitted over 700,000 young people across China over the last decade through a range of youth initiatives.
The weekend‑long fundraiser saw commitment from colleagues across JLR to make an impact in the communities JLR serves. 61 UK charities will benefit as a direct result of JLR’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, we’ll continue to do our bit to reduce inequalities and support vulnerable communities across the globe as part of our Engage for Good programme.
