For Jaguar, the F‑TYPE continues to perform well up almost 40% year‑on‑year in April. With three all‑new Jaguar vehicles already announced for 2015/16, the XF, XE and all‑new F‑PACE, Jaguar is setting an impressive product cadence in its 80th year.
Commenting on the month, Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover Group Sales Operations Director said: "Great news for Jaguar Land Rover this month achieving its strongest ever April sales performance. A suitable end to a historic month for the company, which saw the opening of the newly upgraded Solihull plant and welcoming of Jaguar production to the traditional home of Land Rover, where the new XE saloon is now being made.
"The icing on the cake is that the XE has just been awarded a 5‑star rating from Autocar and has also received its first UK honour, named Best Large Car in the 2015 Diesel Car Magazine Awards for its beautiful looks, competitive pricing and thrilling driving experience."
The Jaguar XE goes on sale next month, with unprecedented customer interest and UK order books ahead of target.
