Oxford Road, Ryton‑on‑Dunsmore, UK: Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations has today announced Chas Hallett as its Head of Brand Communications.
This is a new position, reporting directly to Managing Director John Edwards. Hallett will spearhead the development of a global communications strategy for Jaguar Land Rover's newest division.
Chas Hallett joins Jaguar Land Rover from Haymarket Media Group, where he edited and grew a number of brands, including Autocar, What Car? and Pistonheads. A motoring journalist for 20 years, he is best known for transforming Autocar into an internationally renowned automotive title.
John Edwards commented: "I'm delighted to welcome Chas to the business. He joins a growing team of experts within Special Operations, dedicated to delivering outstanding products and services to our most discerning and enthusiastic customers."

The Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations division was set up in June 2014 in order to meet the increasingly high expectations of luxury and enthusiast customers, offering:
• Ultra‑luxury, high performance and limited run vehicles for both brands;
• Bespoke commissions, offering customers the ultimate in personalisation;
• Heritage vehicles, including recreations, restorations and the provision of parts;
• A new portfolio of branded goods and accessories.
The first all‑new production vehicle to emerge from the new division is the high performance Range Rover Sport SVR which goes into production in January 2015, priced at £93,450 in the UK.
