  • JLR announces senior leadership appointments to support delivery of its growth ambitions as execution of the company’s Reimagine strategy continues.
  • Mark Cameron, currently the global Managing Director, Defender, has been appointed CEO, North America, reflecting the strategic importance of the region and JLR's ambition to accelerate growth across Range Rover, Defender, Discovery and Jaguar.
  • Mark Cameron will lead all North America departments, reporting to the JLR Chief Growth Officer, Lennard Hoornik, effective September 1, 2026.
  • Paddy McGillycuddy, currently Managing Director JLR UK, will succeed Mark as Managing Director of Defender leading the brand globally.
  • The appointments reinforce JLR's Growth, Reimagined ambitions, positioning the company for continued growth across its House of Brands, strengthening its focus on North America and building momentum in its home market.
  • JLR continues its new product momentum with upcoming launches, including Range Rover Electric, Jaguar Type 01, and Range Rover GT, as well pursuing opportunities for the Defender brand in collaboration with Stellantis.

Whitley, UK – Wednesday 29 July 2026: JLR has announced a leadership transition in its global business, with Mark Cameron appointed CEO, North America, reporting to Lennard Hoornik, JLR Chief Growth Officer, effective September 1. 

Cameron brings a wealth of experience in the automotive industry, having been with JLR for 15 years across brand, sales, marketing, vehicle programmes and as Managing Director for Australia. He has made a significant impact in his most recent role, leading the Defender brand to global success, after establishing the house of brand team in 2023. In an automotive career spanning more than 32 years, Mark has built broad experience across sales and marketing operations at Mazda Motors and the Ford Motor Company.

This is a significant next step in our brand‑led future across the Enterprise and a critical role for the success of our global strategy. Mark’s proven track record, including the success of Defender, makes him ideally placed to accelerate growth in North America as we strengthen our Range Rover, Defender, Jaguar and Discovery brands while pursuing our ambitious plans to make the region the size of our global business today within the next five years.
