SHE DID IT: INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATED AT JAGUAR LAND ROVER

(MAHWAH, N.J.) – March 8, 2019 – Today, Jaguar Land Rover is celebrating International Women’s Day by showcasing automotive industry careers in a new video.

The video, called #SheDidIt, stars Jaguar brand’s female employees who design, manufacture, test and sell Jaguar vehicles. The women of #SheDidIt tell a full female story of Jaguar vehicles, from clay modeller Shamaila Khan’s design work right through to customer Jess Monks, who loves her Jaguar F-PACE performance SUV.

Fiona Pargeter, Jaguar Land Rover Customer Experience Director, said, “We put our customers first throughout the design and development of our products. Therefore diversity in our workforce is key. We have tripled the number of women in management roles and we outperform the national average threefold in the recruitment of female engineering apprentices. Our film showcases that more and more females are enjoying rewarding careers in automotive. We hope it will inspire the next generation of talented women too.”

Jaguar Land Rover North America celebrated International Women’s Day locally by hosting a panel of female speakers who discussed what it means to build and lead diverse teams. The panel was moderated by Kathleen Diamantakis, Director of Strategy, New York Times, and included speakers such as Meghan Duggan, 3x Olympic medallist; Dawn Cames, General Manager of Jaguar Land Rover Glen Cove, Anya Estrov, Senior Business Lead of Automotive, Google, and Helen Rosner, Writer and Editor for The New Yorker.
