Jaguar Land Rover reports U.S. sales for December 2018

  • Best ever December sales month for Jaguar Land Rover with 14,079 units; up 24 percent
  • Land Rover brand has another record year of sales with 92,143 units; up 23 percent in 2018
  • Record breaking sales year for both Range Rover Sport with 24,282 units sold and Range Rover with 19,030 units sold
  • Best ever December sales month for Land Rover brand with 10,617 units sold highlighted by record month for Range Rover and Range Rover Evoque

(MAHWAH, NJ) – January 3, 2019 – Jaguar Land Rover today reported December 2018 U.S. sales: Land Rover had its best ever December sales month with 10,617 units, an increase of 33 percent from 7,980 in December 2017; Jaguar sales were 3,462­­­ units, a slight increase from 3,414 units in December 2017. Jaguar Land Rover total December U.S. sales reached 14,079 units, a 24 percent increase from 11,394 units in December 2017. 

For the full year 2018, Jaguar Land Rover U.S. sales reached 122,626 units; up seven percent compared to the previous record of 114,333 units in 2017, establishing a new all‑time U.S. sales record for the combined brands.

U.S. MODEL HIGHLIGHTS
    

Land Rover
For the Land Rover brand, 2018 U.S. sales reached 92,143 units, a 23 percent increase, surpassing 2017’s previous U.S. high of 74,739 units. The Range Rover Sport led the brand with an impressive 24,282 units sold for the year; up 27 percent, while sales from the flagship model, Range Rover were 19,030 units; up 13 percent from 2017.

The Land Rover brand reached a new December sales high of 10,617 units, an increase of 33 percent compared to 7,980 units in December 2017.

The Range Rover set a new December sales record with 2,231 units; up 108 percent from 1.075 units in December 2017. Range Rover Evoque also achieved its best ever December sales month with 1,594 units; up 27 percent from 1,255 units sold in December 2017.Range Rover Sport was the brand’s sales leader with 2,688 units sold; up 85 percent from 1,452 units sold in December 2017.


Jaguar
For Jaguar, 2018 marked the expansion of the PACE family of SUVs to include the E‑PACE compact performance crossover and later in the year, the brand’s first ever all‑electric mid‑size performance SUV, the I‑PACE. Sales of Jaguar SUV models totaled 19,624 units, growing 3.6% from 2018.

For the month of December, Jaguar sales were 3,462 units, a slight increase from 3,414 units in December 2017. Jaguar I‑PACE sold 223 units in its second full sales month.
