"We are very proud to have achieved our best October sales month ever for Jaguar Land Rover,” said Joe Eberhardt, President and CEO, Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC. “Stellar monthly sales for both the Land Rover Discovery and the Range Rover Sport have also helped the Land Rover brand set a new U.S. October sales record, reflecting the continued strong demand for SUVs in our market.”

US MODEL HIGHLIGHTS

Land Rover

The Land Rover brand reached a new October sales high of 7,846 units, an increase of 43 percent compared to 5,477 units in October 2017.

With sales of 2,014 units, the Range Rover Sport also set a new October sales record. Its sales in October were up 95 percent compared to 1,034 units, sold in October 2017.

With sales of 938 units, the Land Rover Discovery achieved the best ever October sales month too, which was up 33 percent compared to 703 units sold in October 2017.

In the U.S., the 2018 Land Rover model line-up features six models; two within the Discovery family, and four within the Range Rover Family.

The four vehicles within the Range Rover Family – Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar and Range Rover Evoque – are distinguished by a sense of refinement and outright luxury. When it was introduced in late 2017, the Range Rover Velar marked an evolved design direction for the family; offering new levels of refinement, elegance and technology to the premium mid-size segment, and later, serving as the design inspiration for the newly refreshed 2018 model year Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.

The Discovery Family – Discovery and Discovery Sport – bridges the gap between utility and refinement, for absolute versatility. With variable five- and seven-passenger seating options in both the compact Discovery Sport and full-size Discovery, this family of vehicles features the latest connectivity technologies, a variety of innovative storage solutions and the same on-/off-road capability Land Rover is best known for.

Across the Land Rover brand, there are a range of clean and efficient 4-, 6- and 8-cylinder engine options, selectively available as either gas or diesel depending on the model. In 2019, for the first time in the U.S., a 398hp4 Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) option for both the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport will be available.

Delivering sustainable performance with traditional Range Rover four-wheel drive capability, interior comfort and refinement, the new ‘P400e’ PHEV derivative provides an estimated electric only range of 31 miles (51km)thanks to a 141hp (105kW) electric motor mated to a 296hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ingenium gasoline engine.

Jaguar

For the month of October, Jaguar sales were 2,648 units, an 8 percent decrease from 2,891 units in October 2017. The award winning Jaguar F-PACE continued to lead the brand’s performance with 1,437 units sold. The new Jaguar E-PACE achieved strong sales results for the month with 465 units sold.

With entries in the compact, mid-size and full-size segments, selectively available as SUVs, sedans and sports cars, Jaguar has vehicles to fit any luxury budget. The entry point to the brand, the E-PACE compact crossover, is priced from $38,600, while the brand’s halo sports car, the F-TYPE SVR Convertible is priced from $125,8501.

For a brand most associated with sports cars and sedans, the introduction of the 2017 F-PACE was a huge departure. Reflecting today’s buying habits a family of ‘-PACE’ SUVs and crossovers have joined the lineup in the two years since the F-PACE debuted. Earlier this year Jaguar introduced the E-PACE compact crossover, slotted just below the F-PACE. In October, the brand’s first-ever all-electric production car – the I-PACE, mid-size performance SUV – expanded the Jaguar line-up to include eight vehicles across three families for the first time ever.

In addition to the ‘–PACE’ family of SUVs and crossovers, the Jaguar brand also includes the F-TYPE sports car, the  XE compact sport sedan, XF premium mid-size sedan, XF Sportbrake mid-size wagon and the brand’s luxury flagship – the full-size Jaguar XJ; each model delivers segment leading driving dynamics, timeless design, the latest connected technologies and ADAS features luxury owners expect.

For added peace of mind, every new Jaguar vehicle comes with Jaguar EliteCare, a Best-in-Class ownership package2. This warranty is further expanded for Jaguar I-PACE customers covering the electric battery for 8-years / 100,000 miles and a 70 percent state of health6.

Jaguar EliteCare coverage includes a New Vehicle Limited Warranty, Complimentary Scheduled Maintenance and 24/7 Roadside Assistance, each for 5-years or 60,000 miles, as well as Jaguar InControl® Remote & Protect connected services for 5-years and unlimited mileage.

Jaguar Land Rover announced last year that from 2020 all new, or significantly updated, models will incorporate some form of electrification either optional or as standard. The company will introduce a portfolio of electrified products across its model range in the coming years; embracing fully electric (BEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and mild hybrid (MHEV) vehicles as well as continuing to offer ultra-clean gasoline and diesel engines.
