JAGUAR LAND ROVER REPORTS CANADIAN SALES FOR AUGUST 2017

Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported August 2017 sales

  • Jaguar Land Rover Canada sets new August record with 1,122 units sold – a 12 per cent increase year-over-year
  • Jaguar brand reports a 14 per cent year-over-year increase for August.
  • Land Rover brand reports an 11 per cent year-over-year increase for July
  • Jaguar reports best August ever; Land Rover reports best August ever.

(MISSISSAUGA, ON) – September 5, 2017 – Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported August 2017 sales totalled 1,122 units, for a 12 per cent year-over-year increase and the best combined August ever.

“Reporting record months never gets old and our best ever August is a great way to end the summer season and look towards fall,” said Santino Pirillo, Vice-President of Sales, Jaguar Land Rover Canada, ULC. “The Range Rover Velar is here, the full size Range Rover is exceeding expectations and the Land Rover Discovery is selling well. The upcoming Jaguar E-PACE is on the way. Our retailers and staff have kept the momentum going and we expect it to carry on through the New Year."

CANADIAN BRAND HIGHLIGHTS

Land Rover

This was the best August ever for Land Rover. Retail sales totalled 732 units for the month for an increase of 11 per cent year-over-year. Sales leaders for the month were the Range Rover Sport with 222 units sold and the Discovery Sport with 166 units sold. The full size Range Rover which was up 32 per cent year-over-year has yet another strong month.

In 2017 the Land Rover line-up features six models: The all-new Discovery full size SUV, the Discovery Sport luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover Evoque luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover luxury SUV and Range Rover Sport luxury SUV and the all-new Range Rover Velar luxury SUV.

Jaguar

For the month of August, Jaguar reports 390 units sold and an increase year over year of 14 per cent. XE had another solid month up 98 per cent year-over-year. F-PACE sold 207 units in Canada, up 30 per cent, continuing to be the top-selling model in the Jaguar lineup. This month broke the previous record for August Jaguar sales of 341 set in 2016.

The 2017 model year Jaguar line-up features five models: The Jaguar F-PACE compact luxury SUV, the Jaguar XE compact luxury sedan, the Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, the Jaguar XF sports sedan, and the high performance Jaguar F-TYPE which is available as both a coupe and a convertible.
