JAGUAR LAND ROVER REPORTS CANADIAN SALES FOR MARCH 2017 – SURPASSES 2,000 UNITS FOR FIRST TIME

Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported March 2017 sales .

  • Jaguar Land Rover Canada sets new record with 2,115 units sold – a 34% increase over previous best, March 2016, and a 541 unit increase over previous record
  • Jaguar brand reports a new monthly record with 746 units
  • Land Rover brand reports a new monthly record with 1,369 units

(MISSISSAUGA, ON) – April 3, 2017 – Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported March 2017 sales totalled 2,115 units, for a 34 per cent year‑over‑year increase. In doing so, Jaguar Land Rover Canada set company records for best combined month, best monthly Jaguar results, best monthly Land Rover results and surpassed 2,000 units for the first time.

“I can’t say enough about the way the employees and Retailers worked together to end up with the greatest sales month in our history,” said Santino Pirillo, Vice‑President of Sales, Jaguar Land Rover Canada, ULC. “Both brands performed very well and Jaguar nearly doubled its previous all‑time high. Several models had their best months ever: Range Rover, Discovery Sport, Evoque, XE, XF and F‑PACE. We are thrilled with the results and happy to kick off 2017 with three straight record months.”

CANADIAN BRAND HIGHLIGHTS

Land Rover

This was the best month ever for the Land Rover brand. Retail sales totalled 1,369 units for the month. Sales leaders for the month were the Discovery Sport, having its best month ever with 525 units sold, the Evoque, having its best month ever with 386 units sold and the Range Rover, which had its best month ever, with 156 units sold, up 71 per cent year‑over‑year. The Range Rover broke its own best ever result set in February of 147 and has now set its own all‑time mark three consecutive months. Land Rover’s previous record high was 1,346 units set in March 2016.

In 2017 the Land Rover line‑up features six models: The all‑new Discovery full size SUV, the Discovery Sport luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover Evoque luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover luxury SUV and Range Rover Sport luxury SUV and the all‑new Range Rover Velar luxury SUV coming to retailers this fall.

Jaguar

This was the best month ever for the Jaguar brand. Jaguar reports 746 units sold for an increase of 518 units and a year‑over‑year improvement of 227 per cent. Setting records for sales were the F‑PACE with 359 units sold, the XE with 160 units sold, and the XF with 144 units sold, up 32 per cent year‑over‑year. This month broke the previous record for Jaguar sales of 383 set in June 2016.

The 2017 model year Jaguar line‑up features five models: The Jaguar F‑PACE compact luxury SUV, the Jaguar XE compact luxury sedan, the Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, the Jaguar XF sports sedan, and the high performance Jaguar F‑TYPE which is available as both a coupe and a convertible.
