JAGUAR LAND ROVER REPORTS CANADIAN SALES FOR FEBRUARY 2017

  • Jaguar Land Rover Canada sets new February record with 931 units sold – 14 per cent increase year‑over‑year
  • Jaguar brand reports a 238 per cent year‑over‑year increase for February.
  • Jaguar brand reports best February ever; Land Rover reports second best February with Range Rover setting new record.

(MISSISSAUGA, ON) – March 1, 2017 – Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported February 2017 sales totalled 931 units, for a 14 per cent year‑over‑year increase and the best combined February ever.

“Another strong result from the Jaguar brand helped us put up a second consecutive record month to kick off 2017 and head into March,” said Santino Pirillo, Vice‑President of Sales, Jaguar Land Rover Canada, ULC. “We are very proud of the performance of Range Rover, the ultimate SUV. Range Rover had its second straight record breaking month and we expect it to keep performing well the rest of the year.”

CANADIAN BRAND HIGHLIGHTS

Land Rover

This was the second best February ever for Land Rover. Retail sales totalled 613 units for the month. Sales leaders for the month were the Range Rover Sport with 235 units sold and the Range Rover, which had its best month ever, with 147 units sold, up 58 per cent year‑over‑year. The Range Rover topped its recent record breaking month in January 2017 when it sold 137 units.

 

In 2017 the Land Rover line‑up features six models: The all‑new Discovery full size SUV, the Discovery Sport luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover Evoque luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover luxury SUV and Range Rover Sport luxury SUV and the all‑new Range Rover Velar luxury SUV coming to retailers this fall.

Jaguar

For the month of February, Jaguar reports 318 units sold and an increase year over year of 238 per cent. F‑PACE sold 170 units in Canada continuing to be the top‑selling model in the Jaguar lineup. The XJ sold  41 units, up 193 per cent year‑over‑year. The XE sold 60 units. This month broke the previous record for February Jaguar sales of 157 set in 2000 and 2003.

The 2017 model year Jaguar line‑up features five models: The Jaguar F‑PACE compact luxury SUV, the Jaguar XE compact luxury sedan, the Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, the Jaguar XF sports sedan, and the high performance Jaguar F‑TYPE which is available as both a coupe and a convertible.
