(MISSISSAUGA, ON) – January 4, 2017 – Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported December 2016 sales totalled 1,168 units, for a 19 per cent year‑over‑year increase and the best combined December ever. Both brands finished 2016 with their best ever annual sales with 3,034 units sold for Jaguar and 9,140 for Land Rover. The total of 12,174 units sold breaks the previous record of 9,016 in 2015 by 35 per cent.

CANADIAN BRAND HIGHLIGHTS
Land Rover
This was the second best December ever for Land Rover. Retail sales totalled 836 units for the month. Sales leaders for the month were the Range Rover Sport with 414 units sold, and the Land Rover Discovery Sport with 172 units sold. The total of 9,140 units sold in 2016 for the Land Rover brand breaks the previous annual record of 7,720 set in 2015, an 18 per cent increase.
The 2017 model year Land Rover line‑up features five models: The all‑new Discovery luxury SUV, the Discovery Sport luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover Evoque luxury SUV, the Range Rover luxury SUV and Range Rover Sport luxury SUV.
Jaguar
For the month of December, Jaguar reports 332 units sold and an increase year over year of 315 per cent. F‑PACE sold 180 units in Canada continuing to be the top‑selling model in the Jaguar lineup. The new XE sold 45 units, while XJ sold 55 units. This month broke the previous record for December Jaguar sales of 284 set in 2001. It was the fourth best month ever for the Jaguar brand. The new calendar year record of 3,034 units sold breaks the previous best of 2,556 set in 2002 by 19 per cent.
The 2017 model year Jaguar line‑up features five models: The Jaguar F‑PACE compact luxury SUV, the Jaguar XE compact luxury sedan, the Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, the Jaguar XF sports sedan, and the high performance Jaguar F‑TYPE which is available as both a coupe and a convertible.
