(MAHWAH, N.J) ‑ February 11, 2016 ‑ MotorWeek, television's original automotive magazine, has named the all‑new 2016 Jaguar XF as its "Best Luxury Sedan" and the 2016 Range Rover Sport SVR its "Best Dream Machine" as part of the 2016 MotorWeek Drivers' Choice Awards.

"The Range Rover Sport SVR is the first vehicle to emerge from the Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations Division," said John Davis, Creator, Host and Executive Producer of MotorWeek. "We weren't sure cramming this much luxurious muscle into one SUV was possible; but it turns out, it is. And we can't wait to see what they'll come up with next!"

The MotorWeek annual Drivers' Choice Awards represent what the television program identifies as the best automotive choices for a large range of lifestyles based on trends and innovations. Winners are chosen based on performance, technology, practicality, fuel efficiency and dollar value.

"Having both the Jaguar XF and Range Rover Sport SVR honored in this year's MotorWeek Drivers Choice Awards is a tremendous honor," said Jaguar Land Rover North America President and CEO, Joe Eberhardt. "These two awards are a testament to the fact that Jaguar Land Rover products offer an exciting blend of performance, technology and practicality that owners expect from a premium brand. We appreciate MotorWeek's recognition of these two vehicles and look forward to 2016 where a number of new products from Jaguar and Land Rover will enter the market and hopefully contend for future Drivers Choice Awards."

These honors highlight the momentum each brand has demonstrated as one year ends and another gets fully underway. Land Rover ended 2015 with record breaking sales ‑ up more than 37 percent year‑over‑year ‑ making it the fastest growing brand in the United States. Also in 2015, Jaguar introduced its new go‑to‑market strategy ‑ The Next Generation of Jaguar ‑ that will dramatically transform the brand in months and years to come. Key to this strategy is a new product offensive which included the all‑new 2016 Jaguar XF mid‑size luxury sedan, a pricing realignment strategy that expands Jaguar value, as well as the introduction of a standard, best‑in‑class, ownership package Jaguar EliteCare. Complimentary with the purchase of every 2016 Jaguar or newer, Jaguar EliteCare includes a new vehicle limited warranty, free scheduled maintenance, road‑side assistance and a suite of connectivity services, all for 5 years or 60,000 miles.

2016 Jaguar XF

The entry level, 340‑hp supercharged V6, 2016 XF is an even greater value for owners. Starting at just $51,990, the entry priced V6 model is priced about 9 percent less than the lowest priced 15MY V6 XF. The second‑generation XF features Jaguar aluminum‑intensive construction that brings a unique blend of design, technology, and refinement to the segment. The XF is offered in rear‑wheel or all‑wheel drive, and provides buyers a choice between two V6 supercharged engines (340‑ and 380‑hp), as well as the brand's most comprehensive suite of advanced performance, driver assistance systems and infotainment technology.

2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR

The Range Rover Sport SVR is the first model to wear the high‑performance SVR badge from Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations (SVO); bringing enhanced on‑road performance to a nameplate already well regarded for its off‑road prowess. At the heart of the Range Rover Sport SVR is a specially tuned version of the Land Rover supercharged 5.0L V8 which now produces 550‑hp and 502‑lb ft. of torque. Additional updates include the addition of a new Active Exhaust System, updated transmission shift logic, special suspension and chassis enhancements, as well as a newly engineered aero and performance package.

Building on 2015's sales success, a number of new vehicles will debut in 2016 and go on sale from both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands helping to position the company for a similar success.

Following its debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, the 2017 Range Rover Evoque Convertible will arrive in US showrooms in mid‑2016. As the newest member of the Range Rover family the Evoque Convertible combines traditional Range Rover luxury with an elegant four‑seat open air design and versatile storage capabilities while simultaneously meeting the rigorous standards set by the Land Rover brand; ensuring superior structural rigidity, trademark refinement, and unrivalled breadth of capability both on‑ and off‑road.

From Jaguar, the all‑new 2017 Jaguar XE compact sports sedan and the first‑ever SUV from Jaguar, the

F‑PACE join highly competitive market segments in mid‑2016; expanding the brand's lineup to five vehicles for the first time in its 80 year history. With the introduction of these two vehicles, the Jaguar brand will have a place within a much larger group of potential buyers, offering customers new choices that significantly enhance the appeal of the Jaguar brand in the United States and offer the potential to dramatically increase sales volumes.
