(MISSISSAUGA, ON) ‑ June 4, 2015 ‑ Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported May 2015 sales totalled 749 units, for a 15 percent year‑over‑year increase and the best May ever.
"Jaguar Land Rover Canada achieved its best May sales results, powered by strong sales across Jaguar and Land Rover models," said Lindsay Duffield, President, Jaguar Land Rover Canada. "With the arrival of the new Land Rover Discovery Sport and Jaguar's Instinctive All Wheel Drive and manual transmission in the F‑TYPE Coupe and Convertible, we are looking forward to the summer with enthusiasm."

This month was the best May ever for Land Rover sales with a total of 620 units and a 24 percent increase compared with the same period last year. Sales leaders for the month were the Land Rover LR4 with an increase of 89 percent increase over last year, followed by the Range Rover with a 35 percent increase.
Land Rover's 2015 model year line‑up now features five models: The 240‑hp turbocharged 2.0 litre Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque; the LR4 powered by a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 engine; the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover with a 510‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 powertrain.
For 2016 model year, Land Rover added the 550‑hp Range Rover Sport SVR, the first vehicle from Jaguar Land Rover's new Special Vehicle Operations unit.

For the month of May, Jaguar sales decreased 14 percent to 129 units, compared with May 2014, impacted by the discontinuance of the XK models. The Jaguar F‑TYPE continued strong sales for the month of May posting a five percent increase compared with the same period last year, and the second best sales month for F‑TYPE.
The Jaguar line‑up features four models: The Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, powered by a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 in all‑wheel‑drive, a 470‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 or a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the XJR model. The Jaguar XF sports sedan powered by a 240‑hp turbocharged four cylinder engine, a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 in all‑wheel‑drive, a 510‑hp Supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the XFR, and a 550‑hp Supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the XFR‑S.
The XKR coupe and convertible are powered by a 510‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 and also offered is the Jaguar XKR‑S coupe and convertible with a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8. The F‑TYPE Coupe is powered by a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, a 380‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, or a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the F‑TYPE R Coupe. The F‑TYPE convertible is available with three engine variants; a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, a 380‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 in the F‑TYPE S convertible, and new for the 16MY convertible model, a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the F‑TYPE V8 S. With the 16 MY Jaguar F‑TYPE, Instinctive All Wheel Drive and manual transmission options are also available.
In April, Jaguar Land Rover introduced the second generation, new‑from‑the‑ground‑up 2016 model year Jaguar XF sedan. Based on Jaguar's new aluminum‑intensive architecture, the new XF will arrive in Canada in December, 2015. Also in April, Land Rover globally debuted its most luxurious and exclusive SUV ever, the 2016 Range Rover SVAutobiography created by JLR's new Special Vehicle Operations unit. No more than 30 units will be available in Canada. This new model will offer custom interior and exterior appointments and for the first time in the Range Rover, a 550hp version of the company's supercharged V8 powertrain.
In 2016, the Jaguar lineup will expand with the addition of the Jaguar XE compact sports sedan and the F‑Pace Performance Crossover.
