(MISSISSAUGA, ON) ‑ October 2, 2014 ‑ Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported September sales for both brands of 583 units, a 15 percent increase from September 2013 and the second best sales September in history.

Jaguar sales were 135 units for a 12 percent increase from September 2013 and up 18 percent in year‑to‑date sales for the best September for the brand since 2005.  Land Rover sales were 448 units, up 28 percent calendar‑year‑to‑date but down 11 per cent for the month compared to September 2013 due to lower inventory levels. 

"Through September, Jaguar Land Rover Canada has delivered more new vehicles than in all of 2012, demonstrating the ever‑increasing consumer appeal for our distinctive products", said Lindsay Duffield, President, Jaguar Land Rover Canada.  "Demand remains strong as we enter the fall, and with products such as the new Range Rover Sport SVR and Land Rover Discovery Sport arriving in Canada early next year, we remain optimistic going forward."

 BRAND HIGHLIGHTS

Jaguar

Total Jaguar sales in September reached 135 units, with top sales performer being the Jaguar XJ with a 29 percent increase compared with the same period last year.  Jaguar F‑TYPE sales increased six percent, coupe and convertible, compared with September, 2013.

The 2015 Jaguar line‑up features four models: The Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, powered by a 340‑hp supercharged V6 all‑wheel‑drive, a 470‑hp supercharged V8 or a 550‑hp supercharged V8 in the XJR model. The Jaguar XF sports sedan powered by a 240‑hp turbocharged four cylinder, a 340‑hp supercharged V6 in all‑wheel‑drive, a 510‑hp Supercharged V8 in the XFR, and a 550‑hp Supercharged V8 in the XFR‑S. The XK coupe and convertible grand touring cars are powered by either a 385‑hp V8,  a 510‑hp supercharged V8 in the XKR and  and the 550HP XKR‑S coupe and convertible.  

The 2015 model year Jaguar F‑TYPE Coupe is headlined by the F‑TYPE R Coupe, with a 550hp 5‑litre supercharged V8 engine, enabling acceleration from 0‑100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, and a top speed of 300 km/h.  The convertible version comes in three variants, 340‑hp F‑TYPE, 380‑hp F‑TYPE S and 495‑hp F‑TYPE V8 S. 

Land Rover

In September, Land Rover brand sales reached 448 units making it the second best September ever.  Notable was Land Rover LR2 sales of 71, a 129 per cent increase year‑over‑year.  Range Rover also had a very strong month with 59 sales ‑ a 79 percent increase year‑over‑year. 

Land Rover's 2015 model year line‑up features six models: The 240‑hp 2.0 litre powered LR2 and Range Rover Evoque and the recently revealed Discovery Sport (on sale Spring 2015); the updated LR4 powered by a supercharged 340‑hp V6; the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover, both available with the 340‑hp V6 and 510‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 powertrains.
