(MISSISSAUGA, ON) ‑ November 1, 2013 ‑ Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported the best October sales ever. With combined sales of 580 units, Jaguar Land Rover Canada achieved a 49 percent increase compared with the same period in 2012.
Jaguar sales totaled 95 units, powered by strong XF sales resulting in a 150 percent increase compared with October 2012. F‑Type and XK models sales increased 64% year‑over‑year, defying the cooler temperatures of fall.
Land Rover sales were 485 units for a year‑over‑year increase of 39 percent, fuelled by strong sales of the Land Rover LR2, Range Rover Evoque and the All New Range Rover Sport. .
"This has been another record month with significant sales growth for both brands. Jaguar Instinctive All Wheel Drive and F‑Type and XK sports cars drove strong sales gains across the country. On the Land Rover side, we continue to launch the all new Range Rover Sport, and the excitement with our best‑selling model certainly helped drive the overall 39% increase year‑over‑year," said Lindsay Duffield, President of Jaguar Land Rover Canada.
"With imminent 2014 Model Year introductions and the announcement of a Long Wheel Base Range Rover and Range Autobiography Black ‑ the new Pinnacle Range Rover model, we expect more and more discerning luxury customers to consider and acquire our products."

Jaguar
For the month of October, the Jaguar XF led sales growth with a year‑over‑year record of 273 percent while the sales of the Jaguar XK increased 125 percent compared with the same period in 2012. Jaguar XJ and XF Sedan sales continue to increase on the appeal of new powertrains and Jaguar's "instinctive" all‑wheel drive.

The Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, powered by either the supercharged 3.0 litre V6 in All‑Wheel Drive, the 470‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 or the 510‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8;
The Jaguar XF sports sedan with a supercharged 340‑hp 3.0 litre V6 in All‑Wheel Drive, or the XFR, with the 510‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 powertrain;
The Jaguar XK coupe and convertible sports cars, powered by either the naturally‑aspirated 385‑hp V8, or for the XKR, the 510‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 powertrain. Jaguar also offers its highest performance models ever, the 2013 Jaguar XKR‑S coupe and convertible with a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 powertrain.
The Jaguar F‑TYPE, an all‑new two‑seat Jaguar soft‑top convertible sports car is a new front‑engine, lightweight aluminum architecture with rear‑wheel drive, engineered to be a true high‑performance sports car. Three models are available ‑ F‑TYPE, F‑TYPE S and the F‑TYPE V8 S, powered respectively by the new Jaguar supercharged 3‑litre V6 engine in 340hp and 380hp outputs and a 495hp 5‑litre supercharged V8.
With the addition of the 550‑hp Jaguar XJR that delivers a perfect balance between supercar performance and peerless boulevard cruiser and the XKR‑S‑GT with its assertive design and staggering performance, Jaguar is expanding the R performance line to a total of six models.
Land Rover
Land Rover continues to deliver record sales. The month of October 2013, was the best October ever for the brand with a year‑over‑year increase of 49 percent. Land Rover LR2 sales increased 317 percent compared with the same period in 2012 and Range Rover increased 105 percent year‑over‑year.
Land Rover's 2014 model line‑up features:
The 240‑hp 2.0 litre powered LR2 and Range Rover Evoque: the 2014 model year LR4 now powered by3.0‑liter V6 supercharged engine that replaced the 5.0‑liter naturally aspirated V8; the Range Rover Sport and All New Range Rover. For MY14 both the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport come equipped with a choice of supercharged 340‑hp 3.0 litre V6 or 510‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 powertrains.
