Jaguar Land Rover Announce New Global PR Leads

Jaguar Land Rover today announced the appointment of Richard Agnew to the position of Global PR Director for Jaguar, and Gabi Whitfield as new Global PR Director for Land Rover.

(WHITLEY, UK) ‑ June 7, 2013 ‑Jaguar Land Rover today announced the appointment of Richard Agnew to the position of Global PR Director for Jaguar, and Gabi Whitfield as new Global PR Director for Land Rover.

Gabi, formerly General Manager of Communications, Nissan Europe, will join Jaguar Land Rover on June 24.

Having started her career at Mitsubishi in the late 90s, Gabi brings to the role 15 years of automotive communications experience covering brand, corporate and internal communications.  In 2007 Gabi was appointed as Director of Communications for Nissan GB Ltd and was promoted to General Manager for Nissan in Europe in 2010, leading strategic product and corporate communications in the region. In 2012, she was recognized with a 'Rising Stars' award by Automotive News Europe.

Commenting on her new appointment Gabi stated, "A global role leading a global brand with clear vision, big ambitions and the ammunition to succeed ‑ it's every communication professional's dream so I am truly excited to join Land Rover at a pivotal moment in the company's history."

Meanwhile Richard Agnew, who has covered the Land Rover role in an acting capacity, takes on the role of Global PR Director for Jaguar. Richard replaces Paul Chadderton, who is leaving Jaguar to pursue new opportunities.

As acting Global PR Director for Land Rover since last autumn ‑ most recently over‑seeing the highly successful launch of the Range Rover Sport ‑ Richard has been instrumental in handling Land Rover PR during some challenging periods of change.

Richard, who has 16 years of experience in the premium automotive business said, "Jaguar is an incredible brand with design, performance and innovation at its heart. I'm looking forward to engaging a new generation of customers by challenging perceptions and communicating powerful stories about our products."

Kay Francis, Director Global Corporate Communications, continues to lead the Corporate PR team at Jaguar Land Rover.

Gabi, Richard and Kay all report directly to Fiona Pargeter in her role as Global Head of PR Communications for Jaguar Land Rover.
