(MISSISSAUGA, ON) ‑ January 5, 2015 ‑ Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported December 2014 sales: Land Rover sales reached 632 units, for a 26 percent increase over the same period last year and best December ever; Jaguar sales were 117 units, up 33 percent from 88 units in December 2013. Jaguar Land Rover Canada December sales for both brands achieved 749 units, a 27 percent increase from December 2013.
For the full year 2104, Jaguar Land Rover Canada sales were up with 7,742 units sold in 2014 compared to 6,399 in 2013. For the full year 2014 the Land Rover brand established an all‑time annual high for Canadian sales of 6,282.
"Canadians' passion for the Jaguar and Land Rover brands continued to build through‑out 2014, demonstrated in these record sales results," said Lindsay Duffield, President of Jaguar Land Rover Canada. CANADIAN BRAND HIGHLIGHTS
Land Rover
For the month of December, Land Rover sales hit its highest December sales total ever and second best month ever with 632 units sold. The Land Rover LR2 and LR4 were sales leaders with an increase of 131 percent and 61 percent respectively. Range Rover also showed a strong performance for the month of December with a 29 percent increase over December 2013.
For the full year 2014, Land Rover Canada sales reached a new all‑time high of 6,282 units.
Land Rover's line‑up features five models: The 240‑hp turbocharged 2.0 litre LR2, Range Rover Evoque; the LR4 powered by a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 engine; the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover, available with either a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 or 510‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 powertrain. In Spring 2015, the brand adds the 2016 MY Land Rover Discovery Sport.
Jaguar
For the month of December, Jaguar sales increased 33 percent to 117 units, led by a 145 percent increase of the Jaguar F‑TYPE.
For the full year 2014, Jaguar sales were up 16 percent, with strong sales performance by the Jaguar F‑TYPE with a 100 percent year over year increase. In 2014, Jaguar launched the new coupe version of the Jaguar F‑TYPE. In 2015, the 16 MY Jaguar F‑TYPE will be available with optional all‑wheel drive and a manual transmission.
The Jaguar line‑up features four models: The Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, powered by a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 in all‑wheel‑drive, a 470‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 or a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the XJR model. The Jaguar XF sports sedan powered by a 240‑hp turbocharged four cylinder engine, a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 in all‑wheel‑drive, a 470‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8, a 510‑hp Supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the XFR, and a 550‑hp Supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the XFR‑S. The XKR coupe and convertible are powered by a 510‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 and also offered is the Jaguar XKR‑S coupe and convertible with a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8. The F‑TYPE Coupe is powered by a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, a 380‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, or a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the F‑TYPE R Coupe. The F‑TYPE convertible is available with three engine variants; a 340‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6, a 380‑hp supercharged 3.0 litre V6 in the F‑TYPE S convertible, or new for the convertible model, a 550‑hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 in the F‑TYPE V8 S.
In 2016, the Jaguar lineup will expand with the addition of the Jaguar XE compact sports sedan.
