JAGUAR LAND ROVER REPORTS CANADIAN SALES FOR JANUARY 2018

(MISSISSAUGA, ON) – February 1, 2018 – Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported January 2018 sales results. One month after setting a new calendar year record with 13,765 units sold in 2017, Jaguar Land Rover sold 859 units, a new January record, a seven per cent year-over-year increase, and a solid start to the year.

“Setting a new record was a great way to start 2018 and it is just the beginning of what we hope is big year for Canadian sales with two new exciting Jaguar products,” said Wolfgang R. Hoffmann, President, Jaguar Land Rover Canada, ULC. “The all-new Jaguar E-PACE compact luxury SUV is arriving in retailer showrooms this month and we expect it to prove very popular with Canadians. The electric Jaguar I-PACE SUV will be launched later this year and is highly anticipated by consumers.”

CANADIAN BRAND HIGHLIGHTS

Land Rover

This was the best ever January for Land Rover. Retail sales totalled 601 units, up eight percent year-over-year. Sales leaders for the month were the Range Rover Sport with 165 units sold and the Discovery with 111 units sold. In 2018 the Land Rover line-up features six models: The Discovery full size SUV, the Discovery Sport luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover Evoque luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover luxury SUV and Range Rover Sport luxury SUV and the all-new Range Rover Velar luxury SUV.

Jaguar

For the month of January, Jaguar reports 258 units sold and its best ever January, breaking its 2017 mark of 251 units. F-PACE led the way with 167 units sold, a year-over-year improvement of five per cent. The 2018 model year Jaguar line-up will six models: The Jaguar F-PACE compact luxury SUV, the Jaguar XE compact luxury sedan, the Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, the Jaguar XF sports sedan, and the high performance Jaguar F-TYPE which is available as both a coupe and a convertible and the all-new Jaguar E-PACE compact SUV.
