JAGUAR LAND ROVER REPORTS CANADIAN SALES FOR APRIL 2017

Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported April 2017 sales totalled 903 units, for a 16 percent year-over-year increase and the best combined April ever.

(MISSISSAUGA, ON) – May 2, 2017 – Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported April 2017 sales totalled 903 units, for a 16 percent year-over-year increase and the best combined April ever.

“April represented the fourth consecutive record breaking month in 2017 for Jaguar Land Rover in Canada,” said Santino Pirillo, Vice-President of Sales, Jaguar Land Rover Canada, ULC. “It’s been a great start to the year so far and we expect to keep that momentum going through the summer months. We are very excited to have the new Land Rover Discovery arriving in retailer showrooms in the coming weeks to push sales even higher.”

CANADIAN BRAND HIGHLIGHTS

Land Rover

This was the second best April ever for Land Rover. Retail sales totalled 589 units for the month. Sales leaders for the month were the Range Rover Sport with 185 units sold and the Range Rover Evoque, up 69 percent year-over-year with 182 units sold.  Range Rover was up 48 percent year-over-year, representing another strong month for the full size SUV.

In 2017 the Land Rover line-up features six models: The all-new Discovery full size SUV, the Discovery Sport luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover Evoque luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover luxury SUV and Range Rover Sport luxury SUV and the all-new Range Rover Velar luxury SUV coming to retailers this fall.

Jaguar

For the month of April, Jaguar reports 314 units sold and an increase year over year of 157 percent. F-PACE sold 202 units in Canada continuing to be the top-selling model in the Jaguar lineup. This month broke the previous record for April Jaguar sales of 267 set in 2000.

The 2017 model year Jaguar line-up features five models: The Jaguar F-PACE compact luxury SUV, the Jaguar XE compact luxury sedan, the Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, the Jaguar XF sports sedan, and the high performance Jaguar F-TYPE which is available as both a coupe and a convertible.
